ABOUT RARE EARTH MATERIALS

Despite their name, rare earth materials are not all that rare, but actually quite common. These metals are found in the earth's crust and are dangerously extracted. 

E-WASTE & THE ENVIRONMENT 

Rare earth elements are usually mined through open pit mining which involves stripping the surface of the earth using heavy equipment, thus destroying the existing ecosystem.
